A Poem of Quilting, Life and God

STITCHING A LIFE WITH GOD

A Poem by Ann St. Martin Stout

I build a quilt with my own hands

The design is by Our Lord

Each day I add a little more

With guidance He affords.

Materials come from far away

And many close at heart

He provides for everyday

And faithfully I to do my part

Together, the colors go so well

But flaws, by my hand, are there

My Lord repairs and guides and helps

I feel His loving care.

When the quilt is finished

I shall rest within its grace

By doing my job most faithfully

I will rise, and see His Face.
