Responsorial Psalm  Ps 24:1-2, 3-4ab, 5-6

R. Let the Lord enter; he is the king of glory.
The LORD’s are the earth and its fullness;
the world and those who dwell in it.
For he founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers.
R. Let the Lord enter; he is the king of glory.
Who can ascend the mountain of the LORD?
or who may stand in his holy place?
He whose hands are sinless, whose heart is clean,
who desires not what is vain.
R. Let the Lord enter; he is the king of glory.
He shall receive a blessing from the LORD,
a reward from God his savior.
Such is the race that seeks for him,
that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.
R. Let the Lord enter; he is the king of glory.

The Lord will not enter in where He is not wanted!  He wants to enter our hearts, our homes and our lives, but we must say “YES” to Him.

Is it as simple as saying, “I want you to live in me, Lord.”?  Yes, that is the beginning. From there God will guide us and tell us what to do.  This reading tell us who can have the life of God in them: “He whose hands are sinless, whose heart is clean and who desires not what is in vain.”

We have been given:

  •  Jesus as an example,
  • His holy Word as our guide,
  • The authority of the Church for assurance,
  • Our conscience to form and  direct us,
  • Our brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ to lead us and to lean upon in times of need.

How do we begin? We pray, “I want you to be in my life, Lord!”  And He will come where He is invited.

Peace be with you!
