Time Saving - Money Saving Tips
Hi Readers,
I am going to share with you my top 4 time saving family organizational tips. Original, as far as possible, though there really is “nothing new under the sun”
- Before I mop the kitchen floor, I fill the spray bottle with hot water and give the entire floor a mist of water. This helps “loosen” the stuck on dirt and food, so it mops up much easier and cleaner.
- I had Most Wonderful Mate install towel rods on the back of everybedroom door. When the kids shower, they hand the towel up in their room to dry, and when getting ready for a shower, grab the towel off the back of their door to re-use. This really saves on the number of large towels in the laundry, and the towel can be used several times if dried properly. After all, they are only using it to wipe a clean body.
- A diaper pin or large safety pin, used to pin socks together before tossing in the hamper makes life easier and cuts down on wasted sock missing a mate. It is a great time saver when folding laundry as well as when getting dressed in the morning.
- A cloth shower curtain can be taken down and thrown in the washing machine with a load of towels. Forget the slimy plastic shower curtains and liners! If you have two cloth shower curtains, you can remove and replace all in one session, and allow the other time to go through the wash. We use a shower curtain that has the Top 500 SAT words with definitions . It makes the bathroom a learning center too! (I checked today and the SAT Words shower curtain is available at Target’s website.)
Send me your ideas, in the comments section, so others can read them too.
