Yankee Magazine Swopper

Check out the link to this swap site. It originated in Yankee Magazine, in the spirit of the old Yankee who bartered and swapped instead of buying new.

I have had many successes in using this site, and before that the “Swopper” column in the magazine itself. I have both answered swap requests and had others answer mine.

The key to having a site like this work really well, is having lots of people go to it and post items that they want to pass on, or items they need. When I get done with this post, I am going to the site to post a few things. Why don’t you give it a try.

I have found that the folks who swap at that site have the mentality and honesty of the old times, too. I’ve never gotten “ripped off”.

My best trade of all was the camera I use for my still life photography. It is a 35 mm, manual focus and light meter. I love it. I traded a repair-needed banjo my uncle had given me when I was about 5. It was not something I had ever used or learned to play.

So  see if you can swap something today!
