The Word of God is Perfect…and more!

jesus-1.jpg

Responsorial Psalm
Ps 19:8, 9, 10, 11

R. (John 6:68c) Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
The decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the command of the LORD is clear,
enlightening the eye.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
the ordinances of the LORD are true,
all of them just.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.

One time, overwhelmed by the love of God, and wanting to share this love with others, I attempted to write an article titlesd “The Seven Wonders of the Word of God.”

As I searched the Old Testament, this Psalm kept surfacing.Reading it convinced me that there are indeed many wonders of the Word of God, but it also made me realize that I cannot fulfill this task better than the inspired writers of the actual Word of God.

Prayerfully read the Psalm above and meditate on the Woners of the Word of God - be they seven or more!  God has given us many promises - these promises fulfilled in the coming of Jesus Christ. Trustworthy, refreshing, simple, simple!  God’s word is complete.

Read it today and live

Artist Trading Cards (ATC) Fun Small Art!

Published by anniezs under art, family Edit This

Samples of Aritist Trading Card made by me.

What is an ATC? It is an Artist Trading Card.

We all know about baseball cards and other sports cards that are traded and collected, right? Well an ATC is the same size, and is traded and collected, too. They are often kept in clear pages with pockets, in a binder, similar to baseball cards.

The big difference…ATCs are original works of art, in miniature, and they are seldom sold. (The purists like to say “never sold”)

I have been involved in ATC swapping for a few years, off and on.  I have a binder with wonderful miniature works of art sent to me by people I don’t know, but who have fondly filed my artwork in their binder.

How do you make an ATC?  Using card stock or heavier cut a rectangular card,  2.5 x 3.5 inches.  Some artists use a playing card (the wider of the two sizes – poker cards, I think) Using any, and often many, art and craft techniques, the creator creates!  Often a theme is followed in conjunction with a group trade. I have traded in many catagories including: Up, up and Away, Lilies, Home, cards made using food packaging, Butterflies, and more. Random subject trades are also quite popular.

I plan to write about ATCs once a week.  If you are interested in a trade of 1, 3, or 5 cards, just post a message to this blog, with your contact info.

Keep creating!

Ann
